Welcome to Skokie Jewish Nexus
Skokie Jewish Nexus is a collective of politically engaged residents within the Skokie Jewish community, committed to ensuring our community stays informed and active in local governance. As rhetoric and policies evolve in our neighboring areas, our primary goal is to keep our community informed about governmental developments in the Village of Skokie. Our mission is to ORGANIZE, INFORM, and ACTIVATE our community.

Our Objectives
ORGANIZE The foundation of our efforts starts with organization. We encourage you to join us by filling out our questionnaire and sharing it with your family and friends. Understanding the makeup and locations of our community members, especially with the new Village District Map, is crucial for our collective strength.
INFORM Once we have your contact information, we are committed to keeping you informed. Expect regular updates on Village Board discussions, committee actions, and commission decisions. Engagement in our democratic process is more than just voting; it involves active participation in small but impactful ways, such as emailing elected officials or attending meetings.
ACTIVATE Our ultimate goal is to activate our community. Skokie Jewish Nexus members may hold diverse political views, but we all share the belief in the importance of active participation in our government’s decision-making processes. We will encourage you to engage in various ways—whether it’s writing to a Trustee, calling the Village Manager, attending a meeting, or voting. While we respect diverse opinions on specific policies, our primary aim is to foster a well-informed, engaged, and active community.
Join us in making Skokie an even better place to live.
Together, we can make a difference.
