We are excited to share a recent success in our ongoing efforts to advocate for our community. SJN identified a scheduling conflict for a public meeting regarding the bike lane project on Church Street, set for June 13, which coincided with Shavuot.
Recognizing the importance of inclusive participation, we reached out to Trustee Pure-Slovin who took our concerns directly to Village Manager Lockerby. Manager Lockerby immediately scheduled a second community meeting. That meeting has been scheduled for June 27, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Weber Leisure Center. This additional meeting ensures that community members observing Shavuot can also attend and provide their valuable input. Public input is also welcomed online here.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Trustee Pure-Slovin for her support and swift response in advocating for our community, and to Village Manager Lockerby for such a quick resolution. This success underscores the importance of active engagement and the positive impact we can achieve together.
